Reflecting on a Dynamic CCIIR Lunch Meeting at Standardized Brewing

We had an amazing time hosting the CCIIR (Columbus Commercial Industrial Investment REALTORS®) Lunch Meeting at Standardized Brewing in Lewis Center, OH. The event was a fantastic opportunity for real estate professionals to gather, network, and gain valuable insights on regional development.

A Valuable Networking Opportunity

CCIIR serves as a network for commercial real estate professionals, fostering cooperation and professional development while setting high standards for its members. Events like this lunch meeting not only strengthen industry connections but also provide a platform for discussing key topics that impact our region’s growth and development.

Insights from Our Speakers

The lunch meeting featured a line-up of knowledgeable speakers who shared updates on significant initiatives shaping Delaware County:

  1. Delaware County’s Infrastructure and Growth Plans
Tracie Davies and Rob Riley from Delaware County delivered an insightful presentation on the county’s rapid development and infrastructure projects. The county has grown significantly, with the population projected to reach 400,000 in the coming years—an 80% increase from 2010. This substantial growth positions Delaware County as one of the “healthiest, wealthiest, and wisest” areas in the region.

To support this expansion, the county is investing in crucial infrastructure, including a new EMS station and safety improvements like roundabouts. The Route 23 Connect initiative is a long-term project aimed at enhancing traffic flow by removing traffic signals and building new interchanges along the US 23 corridor over the next 30 years. These efforts seek to balance functionality with the preservation of the area’s character.

  2. Evans Farm: A Vision for Modern Community Living
Zenios Michael Zenios shared exciting updates about Evans Farm, a unique mixed-use development in Lewis Center that blends modern living with community charm. The project integrates residential, retail, and commercial spaces, creating a vibrant environment where residents can live, work, shop, and play. The design reflects a commitment to thoughtful urban planning and sustainable growth, setting a benchmark for future developments in the Columbus Region.

  3. Investments in Workforce Development and Utilities
Delaware County is also placing a strong emphasis on workforce development and essential utilities, with investments in regional sewer and water reclamation systems. These initiatives aim to create a balanced environment that supports the county’s growth while maintaining a high quality of life for residents.

A Community Committed to Growth and Innovation

The CCIIR Lunch Meeting was a reminder of the tremendous potential within our community. As Delaware County continues to evolve, the collaboration between public and private sectors will be key to shaping its future. By prioritizing infrastructure, sustainable development, and workforce initiatives, the region is positioning itself as a leader in commercial real estate and quality of life.

We are grateful to all who attended and contributed to the success of the event. A special thank you to our speakers for sharing their expertise, to Leslie Biskner, CCIM for her continued support, and to CBS (Cooperative Business Services)  for sponsoring this dynamic gathering. Together, we look forward to fostering more opportunities for growth and collaboration across the Columbus Region.
